“The unfolding of Diane Landry’s performance also gets in touch with the horizon of sounds : the artist amplifies the sound produced when she unfolds a raincoat, which had previously been drenched, folded and frozen; then she puts it on. When this step is completed, a whistling kettle starts boiling, and the sound we hear is soon copied by a note played on the violin : proposal for a broader conscience of the existence of a sound/music surrounding horizon. Efficiency of a short, but how conclusive, appearance.”
