Collecting record players started to grow on me at the time when they were being replaced by CD players. They would be found on the edge of the sidewalk on garbage day. There are nearly 15 record players set up at various heights on precarious legs. Each one has its own lighting and object from daily life. Thanks to MIDI controllers, the objects come to life in turn, once or many times, according to a composition that I remake for each space where the work is showed. I create a sequence of 16 different scenes that appear one after the other over a period of about 20 minutes. The strange agglomeration, with a chaotic look, comes to life and produces large projections in silhouette. These moving shadows are cast on the walls with variable intensities and speeds. They are very important and take up the space in a significant way. Lighthouse is a dance of utilitarian objects set in lyrical confrontation, or a multitude of small enigmatic carousels made of banal objects. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Laboratoire de recherche et de création en informatique appliqué aux arts of Obscure in Quebec.
